1st formers are learning new sounds moving away from the traditional ways!
Before jumping into the new world of literacy, children have to learn all the sounds. In K5 they started learning some important sounds, and now that they are in 1st form they have to incorporate many more. Is there a better way than relating them with things of their daily life? We preprared and ate jelly to learn the "j" sound, we made our own cloud full of raidrops to learn the "ai" sound and we ate some toasts to learn the "oa" sound. And this is just the beginning! We will learn them all! Who said that literacy was boring?
